Kasondra Collins, Renae Resley and Ariel Chalmers took top honors in the Osakis VFW Post 7902 "Voice of Democracy" essay contest. Collins earned first place and will advance to the district-level competition. The essay asked students to address a specific topic - "Is there pride in serving in our military?" Students were also required to enter a voice recording of their essay. Students in 9th through 12th grades were eligible.
