Shane Massmann and Lauren Savageau are the recipients of the 2018 Osakis High School Academics, Arts and Athletics (AAA) Awards from the Minnesota State High School League.

Massmann was also selected as the Region 6A Subsection 22 male award winner. The Region 6A award winners will be named at the Region 6A AAA Banquet on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at the Bigwood Events Center in Fergus Falls.

The purpose of the AAA program is to recognize and honor high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field and in the fine arts.

The program also strives to elevate academic standards and create a greater awareness of league-sponsored activities and values. The program provides member schools with the opportunity to participate in a statewide program that supports, promotes and recognizes academic and extra-curricular achievements.

To be eligible, students must be a senior and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

An AAA on-court recognition ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Boys' State Basketball Tournament in March. The top two award finishers from each region will be invited to the banquet.

League officials will announce the four AAA recipients at the banquet. Award recipients — a girl and a boy from both a Class A and a Class AA school — will receive a four-year $1,000 scholarship.
